Planet Earth Asks Humans “What Are You Going to Do When the Lights Come Back On?”

ImagePlanet Earth, the City of Oshawa and the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee (OEAC) are asking people to join them in doing more than turn lights off for one hour. There are 30 days between Earth Hour and Earth Day so what better time to take on a Carbon Cleanse and do that little bit extra to practice some new energy saving habits to reduce air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and learn some new healthy habits.

“The idea behind the Challenge is to make residents aware of how their daily activities can have a positive or negative impact on the environment,” said Kristy Kilbourne, OEAC Chair. “Small changes can add up to big energy savings.”

Beginning March 23, follow “OshawaCity” on Twitter or Facebook, or visit www.oshawa.ca/environment  for daily suggestions, actions and related resources that can help reduce GHG emissions.
