Welcome to the Clean Air Partnership Blog!

Well, Hello there.  I’m so glad you have come across our little corner of the internet.  I hope that, in the following weeks, months and years, this website will be filled with inspirational activities from the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Region (the GTHA) and beyond.  Activities which reduce our carbon footprint, clean our air and provide us with a more sustainable way of life.  But before we get started, it’s a good idea to fill you in on who we are, and what we here at the Clean Air Partnership do.

A bit about the Clean Air Partnership (CAP)

CAP is a registered charity, and was founded in the year 2000.  Our goal is to work with our partners at municipal levels and beyond to innovate new ideas, share our knowledge and advocate for a more sustainable, more resilient way of life.  You can read our full mission statement here.  This site and the related social media accounts (follow us on twitter and join us on facebook!) will focus on the successes achieved by our municipal partners, as well as organizations and individuals throughout the GTHA who set an example for how to exist more sustainably.  We tell these stories so that the lessons from these successes can be shared, the methodology duplicated and the programs transferred across jurisdictions.  Often a program that works in Hamilton will also work in Oshawa and anywhere in between, albeit with a little bit of tweaking to accommodate local differences.  We already have the tools to live much more sustainably throughout the GTHA, it’s just a matter of starting to use them a little bit more.
